Siyu Chen

Chen Siyu, is the Doctor of Science, Professor, Changjiang Young Scholar of Ministry of Education. His main research areas include air pollution, the interaction between the atmospheric environment and climate change, and aerosol physical processes. He focuses on the parameterization of dust emission, aerosol dynamic transport, absorbing aerosol radiative forcing and climate effects, the impact of human activities on dust emission, the risk assessment of aerosols on human health through different channels, and sand and dust storm warning and forecasting. The research results obtained are of great significance in air pollution control, numerical weather prediction, and global climate change. In recent years, as the first or corresponding author, he has published nearly 30 papers in authoritative journals in the field of atmospheric sciences such as Environmental Science & Technology, Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, Journal of Climate, Journal of Geophysical Research, etc.. He presided over a number of national, provincial and ministerial-level projects such as the General Program (Key Program, Major Research Plan) of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in a number of national-level projects such as the innovative research groups of the National Natural Science Fund Committee of Science, and public welfare industry (meteorology) research projects. The total scientific research funding is 4 million. Relevant results were selected as the cover papers of Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Meteorological Research; His ESI highly cited papers, Altimetric top 5% papers, Science China 'hot papers' and China Desert Science Top Ten Papers were interviewed as research highlights by Global Times , and were reported by mainstream media at home and abroad such as Xinhua News Agency, Daily Mail, Science and Technology Daily, Guangming Daily, etc. He has won the second prize of Natural Science of the Ministry of Education, the 'Academic Newcomer Award' of the Ministry of Education, the outstanding instructor of the Lanzhou University College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Action Plan, and was selected into the 'Western Light' Talent Training Program of the Organization Department. He is the backbone member of the National University Huang Danian Teacher Team, the 'Yangtze River Scholars' innovation team of the Ministry of Education, the 'Key Field Innovation Team' of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the provincial teaching team of Gansu Province. He serves as a reviewer for dozens of international SCI journals, including Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences, Journal of Geophysical Research, Environmental Pollution, Journal of Climate, Atmospheric Environment, International Journal of Climatology, Atmospheric Research, etc. He enrolls graduate students with professional backgrounds in atmosphere, ocean, environment, mathematics, physics, and computer all year round.
